Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at this traditional hotel with spacious rooms featuring beautiful Japanese garden views. The futon bedding added an authentic touch, though it could be a bit uncomfortable to sleep on the floor. The service was exceptional, with special attention given to my dietary needs. The location was perfect for exploring nearby temples and shrines, and the dining experience offered a variety of carefully prepared dishes. The hotel facilities were well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay.
I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious and clean rooms with an adjoining bath, even more exciting than I expected. The hotel has a large and beautiful room with a nice view of the gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging a shuttle for us even though we checked out early. The location was great, close to the quaint town with small restaurants and shops, World Heritage shrines, and the Shinkyo Bridge. The dining experience was typical Japanese but delicious with good variety. Overall, a convenient and enjoyable stay with a few minor cons.
My stay at the hotel was simply delightful. The traditional Japanese-style rooms on the 3rd floor were a serene retreat, overlooking the beautiful garden and Nikko Mountain. The futon bedding added an authentic touch, making it a perfect ryokan experience. The service was impeccable, from the magnificent 12-course dinner to the helpful assistance with local cuisine like Yuba and Shabu Shabu. The location couldn't have been better, being just a stone's throw away from all the World Heritage Sites. While the dining experience was generally superb with a massive traditional Japanese spread, some dishes were a bit too salty for my taste.
